Overview
PFH Technology is partnering directly with a Dublin based Client who seeks a Senior Network & Cyber Security Engineer / Architect with strong expertise in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and security-driven infrastructure projects. The role involves leading the design, implementation, and optimisation of secure, resilient, and scalable network architectures while supporting critical 24x7 operations environments.
Mandatory Deliverables
Lead delivery of network and cybersecurity initiatives across enterprise environments.
Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Design and manage enterprise datacentre networks using Cisco ACI technologies.
Configure and optimise Cisco NGFW security features (IPS, Security Intelligence, EVE, etc.).
Implement network segmentation and Zero Trust security strategies.
Design and optimise application delivery and load balancing solutions.
Support high availability, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
Deliver network monitoring, performance optimisation, and SLA compliance.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Provide third-level technical support and mentoring to engineering teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with security, operational, and business requirements.
Mandatory Qualifications
CISSP certification – Advantageous
Key Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and Cisco Firewalls (NGFW).
Experience implementing Zero Trust and network segmentation strategies.
Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity principles.
Experience with load balancing, WAF, and traffic management solutions.
Proficiency with automation tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs).
Experience with network monitoring and administration tools.
Knowledge of threat management and vulnerability assessment.
Familiarity with ITIL change and service improvement practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
