The Manufacturing Graduate Engineer will be joining an established team and will be instrumental in leading, deploying, and implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement within the site.
The Manufacturing Graduate Engineer will be directly involved in data collection and analysis, cell design and improvement, process optimization using lean and six sigma techniques while supporting day-to-day Operational Excellence activities.

A Day in Life Of:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned, training and ongoing support will be provided:
* Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflow to improve efficiency in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts and will establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
* Facilitation and support of Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects across the site production, inventory control, quality, and business processes.
* Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, manufacturing timing standards, cost reduction, inventory requirements.
* Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
* Perform Value Stream Mapping and Analysis across manufacturing and business processes identifying key areas for improvement opportunities.
* Support our current lean transformation program and gain knowledge in the lean transformation methodologies.
* Learn and utilize Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques – DMAIC, Yellow Belt problem solving, becoming Yellow Belt certified.
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum of a level 7 degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering qualification and graduated within the last 2 years.
* A dynamic collaborator who can work effectively and proactively on cross functional teams.
* Good communicator and fluent in English, both writing and speaking.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships, show respect for others.
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD (or similar 2D CAD)
Nice to Have:
* As part of their degree have studied and completed projects in lean or Six Sigma.
* Has an appetite to work in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
* Will be flexible to the business need and be capable of juggling multiple assessments concurrently.
