Shop Floor Manager - Store Leadership Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Floor Manager to join our team. As a key member of the store leadership, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
About the Role:
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers.
* Ensure that the store is well-led and managed when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not present.
* Develop and implement training programs to ensure that colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
* Foster a culture of open communication, trust, and respect among colleagues.
* Coach and develop colleagues to enable them to meet their daily priorities and deliver excellent customer service.
* Analyze reports and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction and colleague engagement.
* Drive a culture of zero food waste by managing date codes and ensuring that no food suitable for human consumption goes to waste.
* Recruit and select the best candidates for the team, prioritizing those who share our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
* Develop and implement effective stock control processes to ensure that colleagues can complete their routines efficiently.
* Investigate and resolve any issues related to pricing, overcharging, refunds, and label routines to ensure accurate pricing for customers.
* Promote a culture of excellence by recognizing and rewarding colleagues who provide outstanding customer service and addressing any instances of poor performance.
You'll Need:
* A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and senior management.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive business success.
* Previous retail experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior leadership position.
