Key Responsibilities:
* Support Lean NPI (new product introduction) working closely with Design & Manufacturing Engineering to ensure products are designed, manufactured, and delivered according to DFT, DFC guidelines.
* Configuration and change management, drawing control through EO (Engineering Order) process from initial design to product obsolescence.
* Support the design team in developing hardware/software project requirements, DVT, product costing, reliability testing, and design reviews.
* Support material sourcing, component selection, MRB disposition, Non-Conformance/Waiver generation, E&O management.
* Assume technical product ownership after design release, including customer-driven changes and product issue resolution.
* Act as primary manufacturing technical contact for the product range.
* Lead product cost reduction initiatives using Lean tools, waste elimination, and process improvements.
* Manage EOL customer requests, liaising with manufacturing, supply chain, and documentation departments.
* Identify opportunities to improve product yields and reliability, leading solutions to product problems.
* Support after-market programs, including training, obsolescence management, repair support, and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent (second class honours expected).
* Good understanding of electronic circuit functionality.
* Experience in product engineering, quality engineering, electronic/electrical design, software development, mechanical engineering, test engineering, or lean principles is advantageous.
