About the Structural Engineer Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled structural engineer to fill this position. The ideal candidate should be process driven and have good numeracy and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving.
Main Responsibilities
* Generate pre-processing data for structural analysis using Excel software.
* Carry out structural analysis of crane components using ANSYS design software and Excel software.
* Appraise structural members including verification of fatigue, crippling and buckling strength.
* Analyse structural details such as bolted joints, pinned joints etc.
* Compile final documentation.
* Draw sketches to support documentation using 2-D CAD software Co-Create ME10.
The successful candidate will be required to ensure that a high standard of work is provided at all times and demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks effectively on an ongoing basis to ensure that deadlines are reached.
Liaise with other departments on structural details and to optimise product design is also a crucial aspect of this role.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A third level qualification in Structural Engineering.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with ANSYS or similar software would be beneficial but not compulsory.
* Ideal candidate would have 3 years experience in a similar role.
