We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven Data Steward to support the re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team. The role ensures data consistency and accuracy across three operating systems that serve 400+ global users, using the organization’s warehouse management system. The Data Steward audits, repairs, and validates data, collaborates with stakeholders across the organization and third‑party service providers, and generates performance metrics that inform daily, monthly, and annual operational plans.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of system data, both within and outside of the application.
Developing and enforcing data standards, policies, procedures, and governance strategies to maintain global data integrity and compliance.
Performing regular data quality assessments, developing and implementing scorecards and improvement plans to address identified issues.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organization and service providers to understand data requirements and provide support.
Utilizing SQL to query, extract, and analyze data to support business needs.
Generating and presenting data performance metrics and reports/visuals to leadership to drive data consistency and accuracy.
Providing training and support to team members on data-related topics and best practices.
Managing ticket queue, prioritization, and tradeoffs for strategic system developments.
Facilitating migration of legacy data into new systems and reporting architecture as needed.
Testing new data in development to ensure a successful implementation into production environments.
Basic Qualifications
Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala).
Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands‑on SQL coding.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Experience defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
Experience working with and managing third-party vendors.
