Fastnet Executive Search are excited to partner with our client who are Global Market Leaders in engineering process equipment for Life Sciences industries.With over seven decades of expertise as a top 3 supplier in providing best in class engineering equipment to process industries globally, they are looking to appoint an experienced International Sales Manager with a proven track record in nurturing and developing relationships and Key Accounts with Life Sciences sector clients to further develop their Northern European territory.The successful candidate will manage the assigned customer portfolio (territory/activity pairing) and contribute to achieving annual order intake targets (amount and margin).They will ensure that client relationships with existing customers and Key Accounts are managed effectively and will expand the client base and generate new leads by prospecting for new customers.ResponsibilitiesImplement the sales action plan defined annually with the Sales and Marketing Director and Business Unit Directors (Including Bid Management Director and technical sales teams, Engineering, Industrial Operations and Quality Departments and sister companies to support Cross-Selling activities.)Steer the sales process and commercial negotiations within the contractual and margin limits defined by the Sales Director and Bid Management DirectorProduce regular activity reports via the CRM (visit reports, sales forecasts, follow-up of offers and reminders, update of offer status, activity reports) and more generally to comply with the procedures of the Sales process.Prepare for and participate in quarterly Commercial Review meetingsProvide input into annual budget process in collaboration with Business Unit DirectorsHelp to develop sales and marketing/communication strategies and action plansProactively visit customers to promote the company and to identify and develop new opportunitiesGather information to qualify new opportunities and provide input in the preparation of offersPlay a leading role in the sales and negotiation process (in particular with regard to contractual aspects) in conjunction with the technical sales team and Sales managementVisit key customers (repeat customers and Key Accounts), keeping them informed (company News, new products, new documentation, etc.),Develop and maintain Key Account plansSupport the Industrial Operations teams during the order completion phasesPromote aftermarket and service offeringsInitiate prospecting activities (market intelligence tools, social networks, telephone contacts, visits)Participate in marketing and communications activities, in particular trade shows and conferencesMonitor market trends and competitor activitiesIn general, to contribute to the activities of the department/Division, in compliance with the Quality/Environment, Safety and Ethics rules in force at the company and their customers.Requirements:Engineering qualification required, additional business certification preferred.Minimum 5+ years' experience in an engineering solutions selling role, managing long-cycle, capital equipment sales within the Life Sciences sector.Proven ability to navigate engineering houses, partners and site project decision-making structures and provide strong technical credibility with process engineering stakeholders.Demonstrates excellent Key account Management experience and a proven ability to develop and nurture strategic relationships with a relationship-led, consultative commercial approach.Willingness to travel within territory in Ire/ UK & Northern Europe.
