Purpose of role:The consultants provide anaesthesia cover to 8 theatres, 1 cardiac catheterisation suite, CT screening room, Nuclear Medicine, and MRI. General Anaesthesiology for off-site radiotherapy at St. Luke’s (500 cases per year requiring consultant Anaesthesiologist presence) is also provided, along with remote intrathecal chemotherapy within Crumlin Hospital. CHI-Crumlin anaesthesiologists also oversee acute pain management and a growing pre-anaesthetic assessment service.This post is essential to support theatre demand and reduce waiting lists.Essential Criteria:Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Anaesthesiology.Two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric Anaesthesiology.How to apply and other queries:Applications are evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the eligibility section and the knowledge, skills, and competencies specified in this job description.
