Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance of stores within the Carlow/Laois area, driving business growth, and developing a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will have strong retail management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a district, overseeing all Store Managers
2. Foster a positive, high-performing team environment
3. Coach, support, and develop Store Managers to drive success
4. Monitor and optimise stock flow and cash management
5. Conduct regular district tours with the Sales Executive
6. Provide analysis and feedback to support key projects
7. Manage store openings, refurbishments, and re-openings
8. Develop and execute annual business plans and staffing strategies
9. Define and track KPIs to ensure operational excellence
10. Align district performance with company strategy
11. Prepare for and actively contribute to Area Manager meetings
Requirements
* A minimum 2.1 degree in any discipline or at least 3 years of management experience
* Strong communication, planning, organisational, and analytical skills
* A full, clean driving licence
* A motivated, flexible, and results-driven leader
* Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
* A genuine interest in building a long-term career in retail
