Senior Quantity Surveyor
The Role: This is a long-term, stable position that involves overseeing and managing the commercial and contractual aspects of a project from start to finish. Ensuring profitability, compliance, and timely reporting are key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and communication on all commercial matters.
* Assess and process subcontractor payments, review applications for accuracy, and ensure compliance with contracts and project timelines.
* Conduct regular visits to monitor progress, measure works completed, and identify any issues or commercial risks that need addressing.
* Prepare and maintain detailed records of project costs, prepare cost/value reconciliations, and contribute to monthly reports for senior management.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
* 5+ years experience in civils (contractor-side preferred)
* Comfortable working in a site-based environment
* Excellent understanding of cost control and construction contracts
* Strong communication and commercial acumen
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software tools
