Irish Language Communications Specialist
This role is critical to implementing the organization's Irish language strategy, requiring a fluent speaker with experience in engaging stakeholders and managing workload.
* Support senior leadership on Irish language matters and promote its use within the organization.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to resource development and training.
* Play a key role in the Irish Language Office, working flexibly to provide coverage and support for areas handled by the office.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong organizational abilities. They will also be proficient in written and spoken Irish, with the ability to translate complex documents into the language.
Responsibilities:
* Irish Language Promotion: Assist in developing and implementing strategies to promote the use of Irish throughout the organization.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and other organizations.
* Office Support: Provide administrative support to the Irish Language Office, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and performing other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
* Fluent Irish Speaker: Must be able to speak, read, and write in Irish fluently.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex documents into Irish.
* Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
