Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
As a Quality Assurance Technician with Hunter-Savage, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance with Irish and EU regulations. You will be a key member of our Quality Team, working closely with production teams to monitor, test, and improve our processes, ensuring we consistently meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure product compliance with established specifications and quality standards.
* Lead root cause analysis for non-conformance or quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Conduct regular tests and inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Oversee hygiene monitoring and temperature control throughout the production process.
* Evaluate processing procedures to ensure they meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Testing & Inspection Expertise: Knowledge of testing methods specific to potato and onion processing.
* Data Analysis and Interpretation: Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and trends.
* Documentation and Record-Keeping: Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
* Production Knowledge: Familiarity with potato and onion processing workflows.
* Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills to report findings and collaborate effectively with other departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance, particularly in potato and onion processing, is highly desirable. Knowledge of Irish food safety standards, including FSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety protocols is required. Proficiency in testing methodologies and inspection techniques is also essential.
