Role Responsibilities
* Financial Management
o Complete daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
o Aid in the preparation of budgets, forecast and financial planning.
o Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
o Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
o Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and intercompany balances.
o Aid in the preparation of monthly accounts.
o Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up for payments from guests and suppliers.
o Assist in preparing for audits and liaising with external auditor.
* Reporting & Analysis
o Track hotel expenses.
o Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement.
* Compliance & Control
o Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory audits, and company financial policies.
o Maintain strong internal controls.
* Collaboration
o Work closely with the General Manager, department heads, and directors.
* Payroll & HR Coordination
o Process staff payroll, deductions, and statutory contributions (e.g., social security, tax).
o Maintain employee financial records and liaise with HR on compensation‑related matters.
* Vendor & Contract Management
o Review supplier invoices and contracts to ensure accurate billing and best pricing.
o Manage relationships with vendors, auditors, and banks.
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
* Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems (e.g., Hotsoft, Volante, Sage or similar)
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Leadership and communication skills
