This role will be part of the Donegal Mental Health Services team, working under the Public Only Consultant Contract 2023 on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities:
* To conduct specialist assessments, formulate diagnoses, and provide treatments for mental illnesses and/or disorders in individuals under the age of 18 years, adhering to the National Standardised Operating Procedure for CAMHS and national policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* To triage referrals to the CAMHS service in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
* To maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of all clinical interactions.
* To promptly notify the Executive Clinical Director and the Mental Health Commission of any serious untoward incidents, in accordance with relevant regulations.
Contract Duration: 12 months
Applicants must be registered as specialists in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland, with expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry.
