This role focuses on driving sales growth and customer expansion by promoting Contentful's solutions to new and existing clients. The position involves developing account strategies, managing pipelines, and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Experience to identify customer needs, position Contentful's value, and close complex deals. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying leads, managing RFIs/RFQs, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers through a value-based, consultative sales approach.
* Experience selling a technical platform working as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), and/or Account Executive
* Good individual quota-carrying experience
* Good experience in growing and expanding existing customer accounts
* Demonstrated expertise in closing $60-100k+ opportunities
* Ability to drive your own pipeline generation with outbound capabilities
* Fluent German and English language skills
