They offer residential, supported living, day services, and community outreach, with a strong focus on personalised, high-quality care delivered in safe, homely, and well-equipped environments. Their services support individuals with a wide range of presentations, including autism, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, mental health rehabilitation needs, behaviours that challenge, and personality disorders.The Consultant Psychiatrist provides clinical and operational leadership within a multidisciplinary service supporting individuals with complex mental health, neurodevelopmental, and behavioural needs. The role ensures high-quality, person-centred care across residential and community settings.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a defined caseload.Provide clinical oversight and supervision to junior doctors, nurse prescribers, and allied health professionals.Develop treatment plans, protocols, and documentation aligned with best practice and regulatory standards.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including GPs and community services.Participate in service planning, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.Provide reports, clinical documentation, and court assessments when required.Contribute to on-call rota, including out-of-hours triage and medical authorisations.Support training, education, and development activities within the clinical team.RequirementsSpecialist registration with the relevant medical council.Minimum 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience.Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Experience working with individuals with complex mental health or additional support needs.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
