We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with deep expertise in
R, R Shiny/ Python, and POSIT enterprise tools
to design, deploy, and support advanced analytics solutions in a
GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
.
This role partners closely with
MSAT, Quality, Operations, and Digital teams
to transform complex manufacturing and quality data into intuitive, compliant, and actionable decision-support tools that improve process understanding, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Application Development
* Design, develop, and deploy
R Shiny applications
to support manufacturing, quality, and process verification activities.
* Build interactive statistical models (e.g.
PCA, regression, mixed-effects models, random forest
) to support data-driven manufacturing decisions.
* Develop automated
R Markdown
reporting solutions for CPV, product lifecycle management, and regulatory support.
* Translate complex datasets (genealogy, MES, LIMS, SAP, sensors) into user-friendly visual analytics platforms.
Data Engineering & Automation
* Extract, transform, and serve manufacturing data using
SQL, dbplyr, APIs, pins, and Plumber
.
* Implement automated data pipelines and scheduled analytics workflows using
POSIT Connect and enterprise infrastructure
.
* Integrate version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks (GitHub, GitHub Actions, shinytest).
Manufacturing Science & GMP Support
* Support
Continuous Process Verification (CPV)
and ongoing process monitoring across multiple sites.
* Produce compliant, traceable analytics solutions aligned with
GMP, FDA, and EMEA
expectations.
* Contribute to
technical reports, risk assessments, resin lifetime analyses, and product transfer evaluations
.
* Participate in SOP development, change control, CAPA, and data integrity initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
* Act as a trusted analytics partner to MSAT, QA, Operations, and Product Owners.
* Lead requirement-gathering workshops, develop proof-of-concepts, and deliver training to non-technical stakeholders.
* Explain complex statistical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
* Champion the adoption of
open-source analytics and POSIT enterprise platforms
.
* Leverage
GenAI tools
to accelerate analytics development, prototyping, and insight generation.
* Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve yield, and optimize delivery through data-driven insights.
How to Succeed
* MSc (or equivalent) in
Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, or related discipline
.
* 2 years
experience in analytics.
* Proven expertise in
R, R Shiny, Python, POSIT/RStudio Enterprise
.
* Strong background in
statistical modelling, SPC, CPV, and manufacturing analytics
.
* Experience working with
regulated data systems
(MES, LIMS, SAP).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred / Desirable Experience
* Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
* Experience deploying analytics across
multi-site global manufacturing networks
.
* Familiarity with
Azure, cloud data platforms, and AI-enabled analytics
.
* Prior exposure to agricultural, animal health, or biologics manufacturing environments.
