Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to provide comprehensive care for vulnerable adults and children with Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver person-centred care and support through a collaborative approach, meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents.
* Act as a key worker for named residents where appropriate, providing guidance and supervision as needed.
* Support residents with their daily plans, individual goals, and education, promoting personal growth and development.
* Assist residents with their living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.
* Participate in on-floor duty teams and may be responsible for coordinating shifts and supervising other staff members under their direction.
Requirements:
* Hold a qualification at Level 7 or above that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
* Demonstrate knowledge of quality assurance practices and their application to service provision.
* Possess experience working in residential, respite, or day service settings with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Have knowledge of Person Centred Planning, clinical and human resource policies, and relevant legislation.
* Familiarity with National Disability Standards (HIQA).
