About the Role
Our client, a market-leading organisation within the catering and facilities sector, is seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to support operational leaders and drive financial performance across a diverse contract portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a highly visible, value-adding role combining business partnering, financial analysis, and performance improvement. The successful candidate will split their time between the Dublin office and client sites, providing insight, challenge, and commercial guidance that directly supports profitability and working capital improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys influencing operations, shaping decision-making, and creating real impact on the P&L.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop strong relationships with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and wider business teams to support delivery of financial results.
2. Prepare weekly flashes, forecasts, and annual budgets with accurate commentary and insight.
3. Provide high-quality analysis that supports business decisions and drives improvements.
4. Identify commercial opportunities to enhance margin, including pricing improvements, cost optimisation, and value-adding initiatives.
5. Lead and support profitability and revenue growth projects across the contract base.
6. Manage working capital performance, ensuring cash collection targets and stock days are achieved.
7. Deliver accurate month-end reporting across the portfolio with clear P&L outputs and actionable commentary.
8. Maintain a clean and well-controlled balance sheet in line with accounting standards.
9. Support strong financial controls, audit readiness, and high-quality record keeping at site level.
Skills & Experience Required
10. Experience within contract catering, hospitality, facilities management, or a closely aligned sector is essential.
11. Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial business partnering role.
12. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational teams and drive profitable outcomes.
13. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
14. Advanced Excel capability with strong analytical skills.
15. Part-qualified (or qualified) accountant from a recognised professional body desirable.
