Senior Electronic Health Record (EHR) Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting Analyst (Grade VI)
This is an exciting time to join the new Electronic Health Record (EHR) team as a Senior Electronic Health Record (EHR) Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting Analyst (Grade VI). This role will be varied, fast‑paced and you’ll be part of a team dedicated to implementing the EHR for the new CHI hospital which is due to open in 2025.
Purpose of the Role
CHI will work with Epic Systems, a world leader in this technology, to implement an electronic health record (EHR) system across the organisation, which will go live at the same time as the new hospital opens – as Ireland’s first fully digitalised hospital.
Work Streams
EHR & Clinical ICT Systems: Deploying the Epic EHR and supporting systems
Corporate & Non-Clinical ICT: Implementation of a Facilities Management and Catering System, plus supporting Financial, Human Resources and Facilities Management Systems upgrades / integration / implementation
Infrastructure: Deployment of technology, including end‑user devices, to support the above work streams in addition to technology solutions which enhance workflow or the patient experience
Programme Support & Business Engagement: Managing an integrated ICT & EHR programme plan and designing and delivering organisational readiness activities including change, training and benefits management
Responsibilities
The Senior EHR BI and Reporting Analyst will develop and modify Business Intelligence solutions under occasional guidance and is the primary owner of self‑service reporting and Cogito content. They will design data models used for reporting and predictive analytics and will utilise BI tools to satisfy end‑user data needs. The successful candidate will implement small projects, provide technical support to cross‑functional projects as required, and solve medium to complex problems. They will also attend accredited vendor training and obtain certification in BI and Reporting configuration.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant third‑level degree or post‑graduate qualification, ideally in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics or related quantitative fields.
4+ years’ experience in a relevant or similar role in digital healthcare, with at least 2 years’ experience in a data analytics role.
Experience with data visualisation tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Experience with report development tools.
Experience with SQL and a good understanding of relational databases.
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development, ideally in digital healthcare, data analytics, change management or quality improvement.
