The position requires a dynamic individual who can maintain positive relationships across multiple departments and has strong presentation skills. The successful candidate will provide detailed analysis and insights relating to acquisitions, forecasting & budgeting and cover companywide financial reporting.Version 1 is a leading technology and digital transformation partner, delivering impactful solutions across public and private sectors. With a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer success, we empower our teams to drive meaningful change through data-driven decision-making and financial insight.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets, together with the Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders.Develop, maintain and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and business case development.Analyse financial performance & trends, providing actionable insights aiding decision making.Support, guide, and mentor junior analysts within the FP&A team, reviewing outputs, sharing best practices, and contributing to their development.Assist in the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.Collaborate with business units to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.Ensure data integrity and consistency across planning models, reports, and source systems, in collaboration with the FP&A Centre of Excellence and Data teams.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline FP&A processes and tools, with a consideration for increased AI usage.Produce detailed monthly analysis of actual performance including variance analysis/insight from actual trading results against KPI's.Prepare and deliver regular reports to leadership on key initiatives & financial performance.Assist in the financial integration and reporting of acquisitions, ensuring new entities are incorporated into planning, reporting, and analysis frameworks.Participate in ad-hoc strategic projects, including investment appraisals, operational deep-dives, and cost optimisation reviews.Qualifications Qualified Accountant/bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.4+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or financial analysis - ideally within a high-growth or Private Equity backed organisation.Strong technical proficiency in SQL & Excel (Python also of benefit) with experience in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), statistical modelling, and ETL processes.Track record of providing financial insights to support business decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proactive team player with strong initiative, negotiating skills and is results-drivenAbility to be professional and approachable to all levels of employees.Working knowledge of Power BI, Kantata (Kimble), NetSuite and Adaptive Planning would be an advantage.Additional InformationWhy Version 1?At Version 1, we believe in providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that prioritises their wellbeing, professional growth, and financial stability.Share in our success with our Quarterly Performance-Related Profit Share Scheme, where employees collectively benefit from a share of our company's profits.Strong Career Progression & mentorship coaching through our Strength in Balance & Leadership schemes with a dedicated quarterly Pathways Career Development programme.Flexible/remote working, Version 1 is tremendously understanding of life events and people's individual circumstances and offer flexibility to help achieve a healthy work life balance.Financial Wellbeing initiatives including; Pension, Private Healthcare Cover, Life Assurance, Financial advice and an Employee Discount scheme.Employee Wellbeing schemes including Gym Discounts, Bike to Work, Fitness classes, Mindfulness Workshops, Employee Assistance Programme and much more.
