Overview
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the team located in Dublin 1. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. The role is a rotational day shift position on site, covering 6 over 7 days (Mon-Sat 7am-7pm). Week 1 = 4 days (Mon-Thu). Week 2 = 3 days (Thu-Sat).
Responsibilities
Electrical maintenance & utilities maintenance onsite.
Qualify and act as an appointed Authorized Person (AP) within 6 months from onboarding.
Participate in after-hours on-call roster with transport and allowance during your on-call week.
Be proficient with onsite asset management system (REALM).
Work closely with the Permit / Technical Administrator.
Ensure correct operation of equipment and on-time PPM maintenance tasks on site equipment within your technical ability.
Oversee vendor service and repair visits as point of contact; ensure tasks are completed to CBRE standards. Review reports and escalate issues as needed.
Maintain comprehensive maintenance records (Frontline task sheets) and update log books for electrical & HVAC systems.
Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
Develop a good working relationship with CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.
Hands-on service and repairs with mentoring of junior technicians and non-technical staff.
Collaborate with Facilities team to handle client requests/work orders for timely close-out and resolution of electrical & HVAC issues.
Promote a professional image of CBRE Managed Services and deliver excellent customer service.
Maintain professional and technical skills through ongoing development and lifelong learning.
Adopt a flexible approach to maintain a high standard of service and to alter start/finish times as needed to meet contractual obligations.
Occasionally upskill on-site equipment such as BMS, fire alarm, lighting controls and other devices.
Accountabilities
Accountable to Contract Engineering Manager.
Operate as system champion for assigned equipment within scope.
The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.
This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.
Core Competencies
Trade Qualified Electrician; good written and spoken English and basic PC skills.
Formal training in electrical installation and maintenance systems.
MV & LV switching and operational understanding; Electrical AP CBRE standard.
MV & LV training & certification (training can be provided for the right candidate).
Operational experience of building management control systems (required).
Electrical testing, fixed wire, appliance and PAT (distinct advantage).
Formal health and safety understanding (Desirable).
Experience
Proficient with electrical installation and maintenance standards.
Vendor and contractor management experience; team lead experience desirable.
Experience maintaining pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating and cooling systems.
Experience with generator & UPS systems for 100% uptime in comms rooms.
Experience with critical utilities, electrical, A/C and dual power supplies (advantage).
Experience operating and maintaining CMMS & BMS, fire alarm and lighting systems.
Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities (Desirable).
Knowledge of statutory/regulatory equipment and testing requirements.
Understanding of HVAC and building services systems.
Some project management or team lead experience desirable.
Aptitudes
Good verbal communication skills.
Good written English skills.
Ability to read, write and understand operating manuals, SOPs, MOPs and detailed reports.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Circumstances
Full Valid Driver's License for use of company van or access to own vehicle for OOH callouts.
Able to attend site within one hour of notification for on-site attendance during on-call standby and call-out procedures.
