Role Overview
The business analyst is responsible for gathering business requirements and content for other members of the development team throughout the product lifecycle. This position is for the role of the Senior Business Analyst and the role will work closely within the Business Architecture capability and is focused on the automation of the third party client expenses invoicing and payment processing in line with a strategic vision.
Role Responsibilities
* Gathers, analyse, and builds business requirements from multiple Global teams for the development team / squad.
* Understanding of the process flows within the domain and across teams.
* Work with the Product owner to agree the Target Model for a Global solution
* Is responsible for verifying and validating the requirements with the appropriate business and technology stakeholders.
* Is responsible for defining the requirements management plan (requirements traceability and requirements change control).
* Is responsible for assessing requirement changes, determining the impact to those requirements and providing this information to the Product Owners.
* Fields any questions from the project or delivery team and clarifies the requirements. May need to go back to the Product Owner and/or Subject Matter Experts for information.
* Participates in test planning and testing activities in general.
* Participates in all team/squad level rituals such as daily stand up, scope sessions, iteration planning sessions and retrospectives.
* Assists with the defect management process.
* Familiar with the overall product, as well as the future state goals
Key Skills Required
Business Knowledge
* Experience with payment workflows, approval hierarchies, and settlement processes.
* Understanding of SWIFT messaging and banking interfaces. Ideally familiarity with Fund Administration business
Multi-Business Domain Integration
* Experience in integrating data across multiple domains) into global accounting systems. Ability to work on automation initiatives to reduce manual processing risk.
Operating Model Transformation
* Capability to design and align operating models with global standards, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Technical & Analytical Skills
* Requirements elicitation and documentation across complex financial systems.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Ability to engage with multiple business lines, including Product, Technology, and Operations.
Preferred Experience
* Prior exposure to payment processing and familiarity with fund Administration processing
