Role Purpose
The Production Manager will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of the steel manufacturing process at Shanette. This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality products while upholding the company's safety, cost, and productivity standards. The Production Manager will lead a team of fabricators, and operatives, and work closely with design, procurement, and logistics functions to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
* Oversee daily operations of the production floor, ensuring schedules and output targets are met.
* Coordinate and supervise all activities related to steel fabrication, component assemble and finishing of steel framed buildings
* Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure all output meets company specifications and ISO requirements.
People Management
* Lead, mentor, and develop the production team to achieve performance targets and foster a positive work environment.
Planning and Coordination
* Collaborate with design and technical teams to ensure smooth translation from drawings to production.
* Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of raw materials
* Liaise with logistics to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Process Improvement
* Maintain and update SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure full adherence to Health and Safety Authority (HSA) regulations and company safety policies.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* 5+ years in a production or manufacturing management role, preferably in steel fabrication or construction-related industries.
* Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (e.g., cutting, CNC operations).
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
