We are currently recruiting for a part-time Accountant's Technician to join our team. As an experienced professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records by managing creditors and debtors, processing invoices and payments using SURF Accounts, supporting budget and report preparation, and providing general administrative assistance to the finance team.
* Accurate record-keeping is essential for any organization. You will be responsible for maintaining both accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
* Processing invoices, payments, and other financial transactions efficiently and on time is crucial for smooth business operations. You will use SURF Accounts to manage these tasks and ensure accuracy.
* Auditing bank reconciliations and ensuring financial data is accurate and up-to-date is a critical aspect of this role. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital in performing these tasks.
* Budget and financial reports are essential tools for making informed business decisions. You will support the preparation of these reports, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
* General administrative support to the finance team includes tasks such as responding to queries, updating records, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements
* An accounting qualification or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
* A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar finance-related role is required.
* Familiarity with SURF software is a strong advantage, although training can be provided.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential for success in this role.
