Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Specialist - 6-Month Fixed Term Contract with a view to become permanent.Hybrid - 2 days per week in the officeA leading international technology-focused organisation is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment supporting global operations across multiple sectors including technology, med tech, and pharmaceuticals.This role is ideal for someone with strong, well-rounded IT skills who is comfortable exploring and researching technologies. The successful candidate will be proactive, able to work independently with minimal guidance, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. They should be adaptable, resourceful, and capable of taking ownership of tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.About the RoleThis is a hands-on technical position requiring deep expertise in IT infrastructure, systems, and enterprise applications. You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising complex IT environments, managing cloud platforms (especially MS Azure), and supporting day-to-day IT operations. The role includes third-level support, system monitoring, backup and recovery, and ensuring data security and compliance, moving servers into a cloud.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support IT infrastructure: servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and virtual environments.Administer Windows Server and Linux systems; automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.Provision and manage cloud resources, particularly in MS Azure.Support enterprise applications including Office 365, OKTA, Cisco UC.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades and patches.Ensure compliance with security standards and conduct regular audits.Provide third-level technical support and act as an escalation point for IT incidents.Contribute to technical projects and monthly IT service reports.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years in application and system administration.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.Proficiency in scripting and automation.Familiarity with ITSM principles and enterprise applications.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Please note, we are not in a position to offer sponsorship and you would need to be based in Ireland.If this is of interest please get in touch via email Natalia Merritt at If you are interested in other roles or career change please do not hesitate to contact me too.Adecco is acting as an Employment Agency.Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
