ICT Project Manager in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is embarking on a major digital transformation initiative to modernise its core ICT systems and better support the delivery of prosecution services in an increasingly complex and data-driven justice environment. Central to this transformation is the replacement of the Offices legacy Case Management System a critical platform that underpins legal decision-making, case tracking, disclosure obligations, and statistical reporting. This project represents a cornerstone of the ODPPs ICT Modernisation Programme and is aligned with national digital strategies and public sector reform objectives. To lead this strategically important initiative, the Office is now recruiting an experienced ICT Project Manager (Assistant Principal) who will play a pivotal role in delivering a secure, scalable, and future-proof solution that meets the operational needs of the Office and supports collaboration across the wider criminal justice sector. The Role The ICT Project Manager (Assistant Principal) will be a key member of the ICT Unit, responsible for the professional delivery of major technology projects that support the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in carrying out its statutory functions. The initial and primary focus of the role will be the end-to-end delivery of the replacement of the Offices legacy Case Management System a strategically critical project within the Offices which encompasses a wide range of change management activities. Beyond this initial delivery, the role will evolve into a broader portfolio-based position, leading and contributing to a rolling programme of ICT initiatives, including system enhancements, cross-agency integrations, digital evidence initiatives, data and reporting improvements, and emerging technology projects. The post holder will act as a focal point for structured project governance, ensuring that initiatives are well-planned, risk-managed, aligned to national digital strategies, and delivered in a way that supports sustainable change across the organisation. While the initial focus of the role will be ICT-related projects, the Project Manager may, over time and in line with organisational priorities, be assigned to lead or support other strategic projects across the Office where project management capability is required. Initial Key responsibilities include: Leading the day-to-day delivery of the Case Management System project within a defined governance structure. Coordinating internal legal, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure business processes are accurately captured and reflected in the new system. Managing vendor engagement, procurement activities, and contract oversight in line with public sector procurement guidelines. Overseeing system configuration, testing, data migration, training, and change management activities with the selected vendor. Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and accessibility standards with the Offices wider ICT Team. Reporting regularly to the Chief Information Officer and the Senior Management Team. Essential Requirements: Eligible candidates must, by Friday, 26 June 2026, meet at least one of the following pathways: A. A qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award (i.e. an ordinary level degree), or higher, in a relevant computing or computational discipline, and at least 5 years directly relevant, hands-on ICT project or programme delivery experience from your employment to date. OR B. A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award (i.e. an honours degree), or higher, in a relevant computing or computational discipline, and at least 3 years directly relevant, hands-on ICT project or programme delivery experience from your employment to date. OR C. A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award (i.e. an honours degree), or higher, with substantial computing or computational modules taken in the final year, and at least 5 years directly relevant, hands-on ICT project or programme delivery experience from your employment to date*. OR D. At least 8 years directly relevant, hands-on ICT experience from your employment to date and either: a Level 6 qualification on the NFQ major award, or higher, in a relevant area of ICT, digital delivery, systems development or ICT project delivery or at least two industry recognised certifications relevant to ICT project, programme or change delivery (see examples below). Desirable Requirements: Familiarity with ICT infrastructure platforms, cloud technologies, security controls, and data migration strategies. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. A commitment to delivering secure, user-focused, and sustainable ICT solutions. Pay The salary for the position is as follows: PPC (Personal Pension Contribution)1 Pay Scale with effect from 1 June 2026: €83,113 €86,173 €89,277 €92,390 €95,499 €97,292 €100,427 LSI1 €103,576 LSI2 Location The Office is in Dublin. Due to the nature of the work of the ODPP employees will be required to attend official business in locations outside of Dublin.
