We are presently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our clients in County Cork. The ideal candidate will have minimum 10 years of experience, either chartered or SCSI registered working towards chartership, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the country. You will come 5+ years' experience in a consultancy service/project management focused company and will Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects around Ireland. This is a permanent position based in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects.
2. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ's) to ARM4/5 and schedule of rates (SOR)
3. Provide accurate estimates and manage project costs.
4. Evaluate and negotiate contracts, contract changes and variations.
5. Assist with the preparation of cost plans and cash flow projections.
6. Document controls and filing.
7. Regularly communicate with clients, contractors and design teams.
8. Assist with the preparation of progress reports.
Qualifications and experiences:
9. Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
10. Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor within the Consultancy construction sector
11. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, and contract administration.
12. Have a full Irish driving license.
