Financial Accountant - Cork
Our client, a leading name in the retail industry, with a strong presence across Ireland, is currently seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join its established finance team.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, partnering with senior leadership to monitor spend and deliver insightful variance analysis.
- Manage the monthly financial close process, providing analysis and commentary for management.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits.
- Contribute to business planning and evaluation of future commercial opportunities.
- Provide backup support to Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing functions as needed.
- Oversee cash-flow management and prepare relevant financial reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
- Capable of analysing complex financial data and offering strategic insights.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach and cross-functional engagement experience.
