Paediatric/RGN Nurse - Home Support

Shift Details
Shift length: 7 hours
Shift time: 15:00 – 22:00
Days per week: 1–2 shifts (Wednesday & Thursday)
Shift type: Part‑time (Afternoon to Night)
Benefits
Monday – Saturday: €30 per hour
Sunday: €45 per hour
Bank holidays: €60 per hour

Role Summary
Provide safe, quality, person‑centred care to a child within their home environment as part of a nurse‑led care team.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to a child, including assessment and management of Spina Bifida.
Administer gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump.
Perform bowel wash‑outs and intermittent catheter care.
Manage PEG fees and pressure area care.
Medication management and care of a child with a disability.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide play and family support.
Implement evidence‑based nursing care and maintain accurate, professional clinical notes.
Perform transfers by hoist and prioritise the client’s needs and comfort.
Promote the client’s independence, safeguard interests, and respect their dignity.
Communicate effectively with the client, family members, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on clinical needs.
Work closely in partnership with the clinical team and supportive services.

Qualifications & Experience
Current registration on the live register of NMBI/RGN or RCN.
Paediatric nursing experience desirable.
Previous experience in home care an advantage; full training and support provided.
