Deputy General Manager Position
The role of Deputy General Manager is pivotal in leading the overall operation and guest experience. Acting as second-in-command, this individual ensures smooth daily operations, enforces brand standards, and fosters a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full accountability for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring Heads of Department manage their functions with maximum efficiency.
* Conduct regular audits across service areas and develop strategies to improve guest satisfaction, cost control, and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with senior management to oversee rostering and achieve agreed KPIs.
* Communicate daily revenue targets and collaborate on strategies for achievement.
* Participate in revenue and sales meetings as required, focusing on room business levels, forecasting, advertising, and yield management.
Fulfill legal obligations under relevant health and safety legislation and actively support sales efforts in collaboration with the sales team.
Serve as a role model in delivering exceptional service, ensuring all team members are trained and understand their responsibilities.
Ensure Heads of Department implement training programs, maintain up-to-date records, and follow through on team development plans.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hotel operations.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with PMS systems, POS, and revenue management systems.
* Excellent knowledge of budget forecasting and SOP development.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
