The primary responsibility of this role is to support the development of business systems solutions and applications, primarily concerning the ERP system and related components. The business applications include ERP system and labelling software, SQL server database management and SQL code writing abilities.Responsible for supporting and enhancing business applications, with a particular focus on the ERP platform (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) and its related systems. This role requires strong SQL expertise to manage databases, develop queries, and optimize performance while ensuring reliable operation of ERP and labelling solutionsWhat are the key responsibilities? • Handling a range of both technical and non-technical cases at any one time at all different complexities• Business Application Support - database management, Big Data, Data warehousing solutions, ETL tools• Documenting Incident resolution• Co-ordinate users IT Change Controls with relevant stakeholders including Application System Owner, Business Process Owner and Software Quality Assurance. This includes preparing Change Controls, preparation, and execution of Test cases• Aid in supporting ERP IT Infrastructure, and relevant systems, to meet business requirements.• Monitor the support ticketing system to resolve known errors by means of Knowledge Base Articles and documentation.• Obtain detailed and accurate information relating to how to reproduce incidents, using effective questioning, and troubleshooting techniques.• Work on own initiative ensuring that tickets are prioritised accordingly.What education and experience are required? • Third level qualification in Computer Science, MIS, software engineering or equivalent.• Minimum 3+ years' experience of responsibility for similar sized IT operation in technology & commercial environment.• Experience in ERP systems (e.g., Infor CSI, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics) is desirable• Knowledge of ETL processes, data governance, and master data management.• Proven experience in BI and analytics within ERP programs.• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.What key skills will make you great at the role?
