Contract: 12–18 months (strong commitment required)
Day Rate: Competitive Rate
Overview
This is a high-impact Project Manager role sitting at the centre of an engineering function, where priorities shift quickly and delivery pace is critical.
You will operate across two core areas: enabling high-volume hiring operations at scale and leading the delivery of a structured, audit-driven R&D programme. The role is fundamentally about driving outcomes through others, coordinating, influencing, and unblocking across engineering, recruitment, and finance teams.
Success in this role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and takes full ownership of delivery with minimal oversight. You’ll also be expected to continuously identify smarter ways of working, including leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver multiple concurrent workstreams end-to-end, ensuring hiring operations and R&D programme milestones are achieved within tight timelines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Enable high-volume hiring at scale, partnering with recruitment and engineering teams to ensure interview pipelines run smoothly, interviewer pools are maintained across large teams, and bottlenecks are proactively identified and resolved
Coordinate and influence senior stakeholders, including engineering leaders, finance, and operational teams, aligning priorities and driving delivery without direct authority
Lead a structured R&D programme, working closely with finance and external auditors to gather inputs, track progress, and produce high-quality documentation aligned to strict governance and audit requirements
Operate autonomously with full ownership, proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and driving programmes forward without reliance on heavy structure or supervision
Drive process improvement and operational efficiency, identifying gaps, challenging existing workflows, and implementing scalable solutions, including the use of AI tools and automation where relevant
Manage complex stakeholder environments, balancing competing priorities across hiring demand, operational pressures, and programme deadlines
Deliver measurable outcomes, demonstrating clear, quantifiable improvements in processes, efficiency, and delivery performance
Collaborate cross-functionally across recruitment, scheduling, engineering, and finance teams to ensure alignment and execution
Maintain high standards of organisation and documentation, particularly in structured, compliance-driven and audit-sensitive environments
