We have an excellent job opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to set up and lead our Civil Engineering team in Johnstown, Naas.
The team will provide Civil & Electrical design services to clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering sector, including Substations, Solar Park, Wind, and Battery Storage.
Your Blueprint for Success
Client-facing position
Train and mentor Graduate Design Engineers, overseeing their work, and checking their calculations.
Lead project design from conception to completion.
Collaborate with brilliant engineers and project teams
Liaise with clients and local authorities on the project.
Qualifications & Experience
BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with postgraduate design experience with an engineering consultancy.
Building structure design experience using all main materials on a variety of structural projects, with particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, New and Existing Substation Buildings, Drainage.
Highly motivated engineer with previous consultancy experience.
Experience in Eurocodes essential.
Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc).
Proficiency in Civil Design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage.
Experience mentoring junior engineers.
Level 8 degree in a relevant field (level 9 is advantageous).
Chartered status preferred.
6+ years relevant experience.
