Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing projects related to facility services, building utilities, sustainability initiatives, print, and environmental health and safety. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
About the Role
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist manages work in support of the Indirect Supply Management organization. We are looking for a candidate to join a team of global Category Managers for Facilities that thrives on building new opportunities, learns quickly, and makes a difference managing ~$120M annual spend.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies that will optimize Medtronic's position in terms of quality, response time, technology, risk, and total cost.
* Negotiate, establish, and monitor supplier agreements.
* Foster collaboration amongst peers, establish close relationships with stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization, and influence decisions.
* Develop robust data gathering and quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency.
* Act as primary point of contact for supplier-related issues, escalations, and mitigation efforts.
* Provide project management and sourcing expertise.
Requirements
Requires a minimum Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Prior experience leading multiple RFx events and contract negotiations is also required.
