Are you ready for a fast-paced opportunity with some of Ireland’s most loved brands? Boyne Valley Group, a leader in the FMCG sector for over 60 years, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who shares our passion for growth and excellence. The role of the Accounts Assistant within the finance function is focused on supporting the finance team and the rest of the business on timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and reconciliation of the Groups bank accounts.

We are looking for someone who wants to progress their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities include:

Accounts Payable

* Review invoices received and distribute them to relevant departments for approval.
* Follow up to ensure timely approval and posting of invoices.
* Perform supplier reconciliations in accordance with procedures.
* Request supplier statements to ensure there are no outstanding balances.
* Liaise with suppliers and other Boyne Valley departments to resolve any queries and ensure all balances are cleared.
* Prepare monthly recharge invoices.

Banking

* Conduct weekly and monthly bank account reconciliations and research outstanding items.
* Perform Revolut and credit card reconciliations.

Duty Reconciliation

* Reconcile duty withheld at the port on a monthly basis.
* Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely clearance of all balances.

Accounts Receivable

* Reconcile aged debtors for invoice discounting and provide daily invoicing details to the bank.
* Provide holiday/leave cover for credit control.
* Set up new customers in the system through Flowforma
* Other finance duties as required by Group Finance Manager or members of the finance team

Requirements for the Role

* Experience within an FMCG environment would be a distinct advantage.
* Experience using AP automation tools would be a distinct advantage.
* Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* IT Skills – Excel, Word and Movex.
* Strong communication, teamwork and positive interpersonal skills.
* Proactive, along with the ability to work on their own initiative.
