Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Accounting Specialist to coordinate the acceptance and documentation of reinsurance agreements. This role involves ensuring timely completion of tasks, maintaining accurate records, and providing insights to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate contract acceptance and documentation for new and renewal reinsurance agreements
* Maintain accurate records of contracts, including data input into the SICS system
* Review contract terms, conduct risk transfer analysis, and provide insights to leadership
* Collect and validate cession and claims data from cedants, maintaining data integrity
* Prepare reports with analysis, highlighting key trends and insights
* Perform intercompany and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy
* Monitor funding of trust and collateral accounts, preventing financial discrepancies
* Ensure accurate remittance tracking and reconciliation
* Maintain documentation for audits and internal controls, supporting compliance efforts
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
* Minimum of 2 years of technical reinsurance accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Familiarity with the SICS reinsurance system is beneficial
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Proficient in English (written and spoken)
