Executive Officer (EO) About Your New Employer Dynamic Team: Join a Governance team led by experienced professionals, including a Head of Governance and FOI, a Head of Governance & Risk, and two Governance managers.
Hybrid Work Environment: Enjoy a balance of home and office working, with our office located at One Shelbourne Buildings, Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4.
Public Sector: Contribute to the effective delivery of a wide range of corporate governance responsibilities.
About Your New Job Governance Framework: Support the development of a robust governance framework in line with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.
Freedom of Information: Administer the FOI process, including drafting documentation, scheduling records, and preparing/redacting records.
Meeting Coordination: Coordinate meeting agendas, take accurate minutes, and maintain up-to-date trackers.
Budget and Records Management: Maintain accurate records of team budgets, purchase orders, contracts, and associated dates.
Event Planning: Assist in planning and delivering staff training events, Audit and Risk Committee meetings, and other governance-related events.
Risk Management: Support the implementation and evaluation of risk management policies and systems.
Compliance Management: Assist in developing and monitoring a Compliance Management System.
Internal Communication: Develop and support internal communication channels for the Governance team.
What Skills You Need Essential: Knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of risk management and/or internal audit processes.
Efficient and methodical work methods with critical thinking skills.
Proven track record in supporting policy development and implementation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in written communication.
Desirable: Qualification in Business Studies or a related field.
Experience in governance and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge and experience of Freedom of Information.
Knowledge of legislative requirements under IHREC public sector duty, Climate Action, Protected Disclosures.
Fluency in the Irish Language.
Whats on Offer Permanent Position: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
Annual Leave: 23 days per annum.
Hybrid Role: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Location: Dublin.
