Role Title: Healthcare Data Analyst

A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a Healthcare Data Analyst.

We are seeking a Health Economist Analyst responsible for analytics and insights of healthcare programs and pathways through advanced analytical and data visualization techniques, including the development of automated analytics processes.
The role includes national and international benchmarking, supporting the design of a clinical data repository, longitudinal data modeling, health economic analysis, disease burden forecasting, and impact modeling of clinical programs and services. This position will contribute to service evaluation and impact assessment, enhancing excellence, quality, and safety across services and programs. Critical thinking and data-led insight generation are core to this role.

Role Purpose
* Perform exploratory and ad-hoc data analysis, design scorecards and dashboards to generate actionable insights and enable data-driven decision-making.
* Develop and select advanced analytical techniques to assess healthcare programs, focusing on value creation across pathways.
* Support the design and development of a clinical data repository.
* Collaborate with GAI and GHO teams on data analysis across strategic areas, supporting continuous quality improvement and learning systems.
* Conduct longitudinal analysis and causal modeling of patient data to derive insights on healthcare program effectiveness.
* Present analysis and interpretations in a clear, business-user friendly manner.
Education & Experience
Education & Knowledge
* Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or public health economics/epidemiology.
Experience
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar lead role, preferably in healthcare.
* Experience working with large longitudinal datasets, statistical analysis, and causal modeling.
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Business awareness and self-motivation.
* Focus on value addition and productivity.
Skills and Abilities
* Expertise in complex data analytics, causal modeling, SQL, and Tableau, with large healthcare datasets.
* Experience in data quality improvement and learning health systems.
* Knowledge of claims, medical, and provider data, and data protection principles.
* Critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
