Join our dynamic SRE and BA department as a Database SRE (DBA) We're on the lookout for a talented individual to manage, maintain and optimise our database systems. Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
* Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
* Implement performance tuning measures.
* Ensure data integrity and security through backups and disaster recovery strategies.
* Collaborate with development teams on database schema and query optimisation.
* Maintain documentation of configurations and best practises.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of DBMS and proficiency in SQL.
* Experience with backup, recovery and security compliance.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
* Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS RDS).
* Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
