Kitchen Assistant Full Time
Location: Moxy Dublin Docklands, East Wharf, Dublin 3
Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor / Operations Manager / General Manager

Main Purpose of the Role
To support the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness, compliance with food safety standards, and timely preparation of ingredients. The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining Moxy brand standards and delivering a vibrant guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Food Preparation & Support
o Assist with basic food prep: washing, peeling, chopping ingredients.
o Portion meats, slice produce, and prepare simple dishes under supervision.
o Set up and restock food stations and storage areas.
* Hygiene & Safety
o Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
o Follow HACCP protocols for food handling, storage, and allergen management.
o Conduct and record fridge/freezer temperature checks and cleaning schedules.
o Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
* Stock & Deliveries
o Receive and organise food deliveries, checking quality and traceability.
o Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
* Compliance
o Adhere to health and safety regulations, including manual handling and fire safety.
o Support documentation for audits and inspections.
o Respond to food safety incidents or guest complaints following escalation procedures.
* Teamwork & Culture
o Attend daily briefings and contribute to a fun, inclusive work environment.
o Collaborate with kitchen, front office, and accommodation teams as needed.
