We are working with a leading, highly automated medical device manufacturer in Athlone that is urgently seeking two experienced Manufacturing Engineers at different levels (Level II and Senior) to support ongoing projects and backfill existing engineering resources.

You'll be part of an experienced team focused on delivering operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance within a regulated manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support process improvement, automation, and digitalisation projects.
* Plan, execute, and validate material and process changes to avoid line-down situations.
* Design efficient manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for high-volume medical device production.
* Ensure manufacturing systems are compliant with quality and regulatory standards.
* Contribute to yield improvements and support validation activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* For the Senior role: may lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
Must-Have Experience:
* Level II: 3–4 years of experience
* Senior: 5+ years of experience with demonstrated project ownership
* Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or equivalent preferred)
* Manufacturing automation
* Polymer processing (injection moulding or similar)
* Validation and quality compliance
* Project engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment
Nice-to-Have:
* Formal Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA, etc.)
* Experience in agile quality systems
* Exposure to digital transformation or smart manufacturing initiatives
