Nature Network Ireland strives to protect and promote Ireland’s wildlife through education, research, and conservation. Our mission is to help restore a healthy, functioning ecosystem for both wildlife and human populations in Ireland. Cork Nature Network comprises enthusiastic volunteers from across Ireland, working on various projects and partnerships to achieve our goals.
Role Description
This is a remote role for an Ecologist/s (Vol) at Nature Network Ireland. The average time required is 3 hours a week. The Ecologist will be responsible for conducting and assisting with training courses and occasional wildlife surveys, writing. The role involves contributing to conservation projects and supporting the development of educational materials and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of wildlife and botany
* Experience in presenting ecological topics
* Field work skills
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and remotely
* Passion for conservation and environmental protection
* Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
* Experience with conservation projects is a plus
The position is a volunteer with occasional opportunities for paid work.
