Clinical Nurse Manager II Role Overview
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to night staff and ensuring continuity of care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team to provide high-quality nursing care in line with standards of practice.
* Provide direct patient care and have a caseload appropriate to your skills and facilitating leadership role.
* Ensure effective deteriorating patient pathways and patient placement procedures/policies are implemented out of hours.
* Support the senior nursing team with staff performance and professional development.
* Promote and maintain the highest standard of nursing care, ensuring safety and wellbeing of all patients and staff out of hours.
Nursing Care Service Delivery
Take responsibility for safe delivery and coordination of nursing services for patients, providing a high level of professional leadership for nursing care services.
Evaluate and implement effective, efficient, and quality specialist nursing care service out of hours, ensuring that any care deficits are addressed.
Round on patients at least once on each shift, ensuring that any care needs are met.
Quality Improvement and Risk Management
Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and existing practices through regular audit programmes and reviews, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement across the department.
Engage the team in continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging innovation and best practices.
Leadership and People Management
Provide clinical and management leadership for staff nurses and support staff out of hours, maintaining a high level of staff morale.
Promote good communication, team spirit, and job satisfaction among members of the multidisciplinary team.
