We enable the company to build first to market features that differentiate our products.DescriptionWe are looking for a team member with a strong foundation in computer science theory along with industry experience. In this role, you will envision, design, develop, and deliver components of a well integrated, distributed system that will become the core financial capabilities for Apple. You have a proven record of writing Engineering proposals to solve complex problems by digging deep into a domain when needed, explaining them to different stakeholders and iterating them as you receive feedback. You also have a track record of building out these proposals and turning them into product featuresMinimum QualificationsSignificant experience (4+ years) in designing, implementing & supporting highly scalable systems and services in Java, Kotlin and/or other JVM-based languagesSound understanding of Financial Engineering and how payments/commerce transactions are processed through systems to reflect their Accounting and Financial impactAt least 2 years experience with different data store technologies(SQL, NoSQL)Understand Engineering concerns like reliability, scale, availability, accuracy etc that are particularly important for PaymentsSelf-starter with strong customer and product focus, and a desire to gain awareness of an eco system and how systems collaborateAbility to communicate thoughtfully, leverage problem-solving skills, build a learning mindset and establish long-term relationshipsPreferred QualificationsPractical experience with Postgres, DynamoDB Public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc) Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
