We are hiring a Assistant Director of Nursing for residents in Cork, Ireland.
Type: Full-time Permanent
Responsibilities
* Ensure that nursing policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements, operational guidelines, and nursing practice standards.
* Communicate with outside organizations to maintain positive relationships and uphold high standards of resident care and service.
* Collaborate with the director of nursing to identify, control, and minimize risks. Lead clinical governance and participate in the overall governance of the nursing home.
* Make complex and challenging judgments regarding resident care and potential issues within the facility, handling situations effectively.
* Coordinate care and interventions with interdisciplinary team members to adopt a collaborative approach to resident care, ensuring high-quality services.
* Act as an advocate for residents and their families to ensure they are informed and involved in care decisions.
* Work with the team, residents, and families to support planning and continuity of care.
Requirements
* Fully registered nurse with the NMBI.
* Post-graduate degree at Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications, including a Management or Leadership module, or a Level 8 certification in health or a related field.
* At least three years of experience managing nursing care for the elderly.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to provide person-centered care.
* Adherence to health and safety regulations and hospital policies, with openness to new initiatives.
* Adaptability and team focus.
