Role Overview
A Mechanical Project Manager is required to oversee the delivery of mechanical building services packages on large-scale residential and commercial construction projects based in Blarney, Cork.
The role will involve managing mechanical works from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
This position suits an experienced mechanical professional with strong installation and project delivery experience across residential or commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage mechanical building services projects from award through to completion
* Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery
* Monitor programme, progress and resource requirements across mechanical works
* Manage project costs, variations and commercial performance alongside commercial teams
* Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards and client requirements
* Liaise with consultants, design teams and client representatives
* Oversee testing, commissioning and final handover of mechanical systems
* Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across projects
Requirements
* Degree or trade background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Proven experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within a mechanical or M&E contractor
* Strong experience delivering large-scale residential or commercial projects
* Proficient across mechanical services including LPHW systems, heat recovery ventilation, underfloor heating, boiler installations, air-to-water heat pumps, BMS integration, plant installation, pre-insulated pipework and air conditioning systems
* Strong understanding of mechanical installation and commissioning processes
* Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams within live construction environments
