Business Development Director
We are currently recruiting for a seasoned Business Development Director to spearhead all business development activities for our hotel. This is a proactive position that requires a driven and sales-focused individual with previous experience within the Irish hotel industry, preferably in a busy 4-star property.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Developing the overall sales and business development strategy for the team.
* Designing and implementing effective sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy rates.
* Leading the team on appropriate selling techniques, monitoring results, and adjusting activities to ensure objectives are being met.
* Working closely with the Senior Management team to maximize hotel bookings and availability.
Responsibilities:
This role requires someone who can work independently as well as part of a team to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
* Sell rooms, conference, food & beverage, and other hotel services.
* Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reporting.
* Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure maximum revenue opportunities are achieved.
Requirements:
* Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in business development and sales.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
