Senior Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our office team in Cork. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Irish contract law, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of delivering projects successfully on time and budget within a consultancy setting.
About the Role
* This is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, establishing project governance frameworks, administering construction contracts, leading procurement processes, and managing project budgets.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as primary point of contact for clients ensuring their objectives expectations and governance requirements are meticulously managed and met throughout the project lifecycle.
* Establish and implement robust project governance frameworks including change control risk registers financial reporting and detailed program management.
* Expertly administer various forms of construction contracts including GCCC RIAI handling certification claims management and dispute resolution.
* Lead the procurement process for both design teams and main contractors ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and best value for the client.
* Manage and monitor project budgets conducting value engineering processing interim payments and managing project close-out accounts.
Requirements
* A degree in Project Management Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
* Professional status.
* Exceptional organizational communication skills.
* Proactive in identifying and mitigating project risks.
* Comfortable presenting complex data and strategic recommendations to executive-level clients.
* Demonstrable proficiency and experience administering standard Irish construction contracts GCCC/RIAI is highly desirable for this senior role.
