Reporting to: Quality Manager Business Sector: Food Ingredients - Tipperary Location: Station Road, Tipperary Job Purpose: Support the site Quality & Food Safety Management System in compliance with all Legal and customer requirements.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Complete Customer Questionnaires and Approval Documentation as required.
Manage the Foods Connected Specification Management system in consultation with the Quality Manager for the products in your assigned department.
Manage the Site Finished Product Specification Register and Specification Review Process & approval in consultation with the Quality Manager for the products in your assigned department.
Conduct Internal Audits and Traceability audits as part of the site Audit Team.
Conduct Hygiene & systems audits as per the site schedule.
Conduct Glass & Perspex audits as defined on the schedule.
Conduct complaints investigations, customer response and data trending.
Support NCR investigations and monitor implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Conduct investigations into Quality & Food Safety issues as required and co-ordinate sampling, testing and results evaluation for the investigation.
Support HACCP implementation & management.
Support all customer & Regulatory audits as required.
Attend and present at meetings as required.
Support the Site Quality & Operations Team and deputies for your colleagues on the Quality & Food Safety team as required.
Support the implementation of a positive Food Safety Culture.
Qualifications required for this role: Experience in a Food Safety & Quality Department in a Dairy or Food Processing environment.
Third level degree in Dairy /Food Science or equivalent.
Experience and Core Competencies: Strong team player.
Leadership skills.
Ability to self-manage.
Strong communicator.
Keen attention to detail.
High motivation, flexibility & the ability to work on own initiative.
